"The Young Environmentalists'' publication began as a pet project created by Arundhati Chaudhuri, one of the founders. Since the sixth grade, she had been intrigued by the idea of reducing one’s carbon footprint. Despite reading magazines about multiple successful projects, she felt the need to make a magazine focused on the environmentalists of the future- the young environmentalists of the world. With the vision of growing her magazine into a force of change, she decided to form a team devoted to spreading awareness about the environment. Beginning with Eglė Juškevičiūtė, whom she contacted through the New York Academy of Sciences, Arundhati eventually recruited a 20+ member team equally dedicated to the cause of promoting a sustainable future.

 

Not wanting to add to the world’s ever-growing carbon footprint, The Young Environmentalists (TYE) is an exclusively online publication. While our team does not wish to presume upon the magazine’s quality, we pride ourselves on delivering a fresh and honest perspective regarding the Earth, environment, and sustainability to you.
